Prayer Request Mondays
It's Wednesday... not Monday. However, Prayer Request Monday did take place as scheduled and we prayed for family and friends again. We praised God for a cousin who was ill and is better. The concern was that earlier the doctors didn't quite know what was up. We thanked God for a couple of teammates that were injured and are now playing again. We praised God for a new baby, born to a student's former babysitter. We prayed for a dad traveling for work, for the fall activities at the family farm and for a good football game coming up.
God is good. Keep praying.
It's prayer request Monday. It's not the only day we pray of course and we'll do prayer requests throughout the week as needed. Monday is just the day where the focus is on prayer.
Today... We praised God for a good weekend on the farm. We prayed for those who lost loved ones: We prayed for the Cramer family, that God would give them what they need as they grieve the loss of a husband and father. And we prayed for the family whose child drowned. We prayed for relatives and friends who are ill or injured. We prayed for the kid on the other team who broke his arm. We prayed for grand parents, newlyweds, parents... God hears all our prayers, big and little, out loud or silent. God is good.
Prayer Request Monday... Today we gave thanks for a dad who successfully completed a marathon and which qualified him for the Boston Marathon. We also prayed for parents who are traveling, some far away and some closer. We prayed for folks that have injured themselves doing sports. There are some who are experiencing a busy week. We prayed the God would help them in their tasks. We prayed for healing for relatives and friends suffering from cancer.
God is good. He's with us and hears our prayers!
Today is Prayer Request Monday... on a Monday.
The teachers got together this morning in small groups to pray. My students prayed with me to begin our day. There was a whole lot of prayin' going on around here this morning.
Today our prayers included prayers for ...
- Pre-school students and teachers who are beginning today.
-KCSA seniors on their senior retreat.
-a third grader and his broken arm.
-sports teams and their seasons.
-the work that we do, that the parents do, working for the Lord.
-relatives with illnesses.
-student scrapes, bruises and braces.
-safe travel for family members
God is good. He loves us and listens and answers.
Prayer Request Monday is what we do for class devotions on .... Monday... usually, unless the school week begins on Tuesday... which is what happened this week. The purpose of this page is to e - x - p - a - n - d the praying community beyond this 6KO classroom.
